Venerable

Khenmo Trinlay Chödron Karuna

Khenmo Trinlay's scholarship and dedication were officially recognized in December 2006. She was titled as "Khenmo" in a letter from His Holiness Drikung Kyabgön Chetsang Rinpoché head of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage. She was celebrated in 2007 at the 25th anniversary of the founding of The Tibetan Meditation Center by Khenchen Gyaltshen and other Lamas and Sangha. Khenmo Trinlay is only the second woman in the Lineage with this title.

She is currently working on many projects one being the founding of an Online University for Studies in Buddhism.

(The term 'Khenpo / Khenmo' (also spelled Khyenpo) is a spiritual degree given in Tibetan Buddhism. In the Nyingma, Kagyu, and Sakya traditions, the title is awarded usually after a period of 9 to 15 years of intensive study, and is considered much like a spiritual doctorate.

A comparable title in the Gelug lineage is Geshe. In the Gelug tradition, the title Khenpo refers to either a senior monk who ordains new monastics, or the Abbot of a monastery.) ~Wikipedia~

Complete Guide to the Buddhist Path

by Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen,

Edited by Khenmo Trinlay Chödron

"Buddhist teachings provide numerous methods for bringing greater meaning and happiness into our lives and into our relationships with others. In 'A Complete Guide to the Buddhist Path' Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen Rinpoche reveals these methods in direct, vibrant, and down-to-earth language.

At the core of this work lies The Jewel Treasury of Advice, a text composed by Drikung Bhande Dharmaradza (1704-1754), the reincarnation of Drikung Dharmakirti. Khenchen Rinpoche interprets these ancient teachings with compassion, humor, and a keen awareness for their relevance in contemporary Western life. Those who sincerely want to study and practice the Buddha's teachings will find this an indispensable guide."

Chenrezig Drubchen

Chenrezig the Bodhisattva of Compassion

There is not a single aspect of the eighty-four thousand sections of the Buddha's teachings which is not contained in Avalokiteshvara's six syllable mantra

"Om Mani Padme Hum",

and as such the qualities of the "mani" are praised again and again in the Sutras and Tantras.... Whether happy or sad, if we take the "mani" as our refuge, Chenrezig will never forsake us, spontaneous devotion will arise in our minds and the Great Vehicle will effortlessly be realized."

~ Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche
(Extract from the book,
'Heart Treasure of the Enlightened Ones')

~ The great accomplished practitioner of the Drikung Kagyu, the Late Venerable Drubwang Konchok Norbu Rinpoche

(1921 - 25 Dec 2007)

The Six-Syllable Mantra,

.........OM MANI PEME HUNG', is the heart mantra of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. It contains the core essence of the 84,000 teachings of the Buddhas. It is the Buddha. Doing this practice alone is sufficient to attain Enlightenment."

"Although we may not see the results from our practice now, upon death, we will witness and experience the true benefit of this practice."
